CONNECTIONS Wrap-Up and Analyst Insights for 2025

The 18th-annual CONNECTIONS Conference concluded last week in San Francisco. The three-day event featured speakers, sponsors, and attendees from start-ups, Fortune 500, venture capitalist, public relations, and media companies representing the entertainment, access services, CE, smart home, mobility, and tech support markets. Popular session topics included wearable computing and interoperability in the Internet of Things, which focused on the challenges and revenue opportunities emerging as new technologies and more connected screens enter the home.

During the conference, Parks Associates also provided an in-depth forecast into the connected consumer through 2025. The special session "Analyst Perspectives & Envision 2025" drew on perspectives from each of the firm's research directors, delving into topics and reports that Parks Associates will release this summer. The report Envision: Digital Lifestyles in 2025 analyzes the connected consumer 10 years into the future, including market factors and consumer trends affecting content and service providers, connected devices, and the markets for smart home, mobility, and connected health solutions.

Parks Associates' next events will continue the themes presented at CONNECTIONS. The Connected Health Summit will debut as the only consumer-focused conference on the digital health market in San Diego, September 4-5. Additionally, the firm will host CONNECTIONS Europe, November 18-19 in Amsterdam, focusing on the connected home in Europe.
